Angel
This is a £7.5m fund with a focus on working with business angels interested in backing exciting regional companies.
It will invest in growth businesses with strong management teams in most sectors and predominantly at the early stage of development. It may also join business angels in later stage deals.
The fund managers will work closely with business angels – investing in deals sourced by angel investors as well as actively seeking out co-investors for deals they have identified themselves. The fund will generally invest between £50k and £150k in each company.
The North East Angel Fund will be managed by Rivers Capital Partners Ltd.
