Robert Drummond (Chair)
Robert is a former chairman of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) combined with extensive senior experience in venture capital, including managing director of NatWest Ventures and Grosvenor Venture Managers and regional director of 3i.

Sir David Chapman (Deputy Chair)
Sir David’s extensive stock-broking and corporate finance experience with Wise Speke, Merrill Lynch and Union Bank Switzerland is combined with a strong background in venture capital and high profile contacts in the business sector in general.

Dr Anthony Henfrey
Dr. Henfrey has extensive senior venture capital, corporate finance and business angel experience in both the UK and the US. He is a specialist in petroleum and corporate turnarounds.

Richard Green
Richard is a former chairman of the BVCA with more than 20 years’ experience of managing private equity funds, investing in unquoted companies and fundraising.

Peter Yendell
Peter has 20 years’ experience in venture capital, including roles at 3i (director and partner of growth capital business) and Endless (niche private equity company specialising in turnarounds) where he serves as chairman.

Alastair Conn
After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse, The former managing director of NVM Private Equity, Alastair has 20 years’ experience of managing private equity funds and is currently a non-executive director of Northern 2 VCT PLC & AIM VCT PLC.

Robert Davies
Bob was appointed as an independent non-executive director of Northern Rock in October 2008.  He is also a non-executive director of Barratt Developments Plc. He was Chairman of Biffa Plc, the leading waste services group, from 2006 to 2008 and was also a non-executive director of British Energy Group Plc until February of this year. From 1998 to May 2006, he was Chief Executive of Arriva plc, the UK transport services group based in Sunderland,.  He holds an LLB in Law and Economics from Edinburgh University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

He chaired the Board of Governors at Sunderland University from 2003to 2009, was Chairman of the CBI Regional Council in the North East from 2007 to 2008 and was a Non-Executive Director of Sunderland ARC urban regeneration company until January 2007.
